Fort Lauderdale here we come!
Hey, Fort Lauderdale! It’s gonna get super yachty the weekend of February 8, 2020. It seems the entire yacht rock universe is converging on one of the most famous beaches in the world. Yachty by Nature plays 2/8 at Emeril Lagasse’s charity fishing tournament called, Line, Vine and Dine. In fact, Yachty by Nature is second only to Yacht Rock Revue/Schooner in yacht rock bands traveling the country! Next month, we’ll add Florida to our list of 6 states outside California we’ve played. Moreover, we brought LIVE yacht rock to North Carolina back in 2017. In addition, we then added Nevada, Arizona, Iowa, and Washington state. Additionally, the band will travel back to Iowa this summer and even Kansas City as well.
Thanks again to our yachty peeps all over the country demanding more smooth music from Yachty by Nature. We sure enjoy Riding Like the Wind to be free again! So, stay tuned and hopefully we’ll be in your town soon.
Emeril Lagasse Foundation
On February 8, 2019, Yachty by Nature travels to Fort Lauderdale for Emeril’s foundation fundraiser. Additionally, the foundation supports the mentoring, training, and inspiring young people in the culinary arts and education. In fact, in November they raised $3.6 million as part of their Boudin, Bourbon, and Beer celebration in New Orleans, Louisiana. Yachty by Nature is incredibly humbled to be part of this fundraising effort. We will play for their annual Line, Vine, and Dine weekend. The event will benefit local charities and includes a luxury live auction, fishing tournament, and Best in Food and Wine. As a matter of fact, chefs Emeril, Jacques Torres, Sean Brasel, Clay Conley will be featured. Likewise, the wineries participating will be Chateau Gaby, Fleury Estate, Gamble Family, Roy Estate, Aldenalli and more.
Fort Lauderdale Yacht Rock Revue
Since the yacht rock band Yachty by Nature began, we certainly took inspiration from the first yacht band. In fact, Yacht Rock Revue inspired several bands across the country to STEP into smooth music over the years. Certainly they blazed a trail that followed in the path of JD Ryznar’s Youtube show titled “Yacht Rock“. Also known as the “yachtfathers”, even lead singer Nick Niespodziani has said of other bands doing playing in the same genre, “I’m like, Go find your own, unoriginal idea, you know? He certainly backs it up with the funnest and most inspirational quip for us though, “But if anybody wants to challenge us to a Yacht Rock Off, I welcome the challenge.”
Although we don’t get the chance for a Yacht Rock off, we do have the opportunity to see the band playing in Fort Lauderdale on February 7! Looks like we’ll be getting yachty with the yachtfathers! In addition, they’ll be out here on the West Coast in March for their Hot Dads in Tight Jeans tour.
70’s Rock and Romance Cruise
Also in town in Florida will be the 70’s Rock and Romance Cruise. In fact, they’ll feature Ambrosia, Pablo Cruise, Stephen Bishop, Peter Beckett’s Player, John Ford Coley, America, Don Felder, Cheap Trick and even our friends Queen Nation. Plenty of yacht rockers will be embarking from port in Miami. As you can see, Florida is getting yachty like no other state in the union.
