Yacht Club – rock the yacht w/ Yachty by Nature

Thanks for joining our Yacht Club.  Set sail with us this fall for sure!  This Labor Day kicked off a slew of travel gigs for Yachty by Nature in the fall.  In fact, on September 5 we played Northern California!  Yes, we had an amazing show dropping anchor at Delta Coves in Bethel Island.  Southern California’s SMOOTHEST yacht rock band came back to the friendly shores of their lagoon near Bethel Island.  Like a movie scene from Caddyshack, Delta Coves played the part of the Yacht Club.  In addition, we played the part of the S.S. Yachty by Nature captained by Rodney Dangerfield and the fun ensued.

Importantly, the show was private for the residents but it was PUBLIC for the boaters wishing to sail with us and dock up to this Island Camp event.  Incredible music, amazing sunset, and encores to boot.  The band was truly on fire and another beautiful evening on the delta!

Oh What a Night on the Great California Waterway!

With Courtney Cruise on the yacht, it’s been an amazing summer.  In fact, the smooth pleasure cruise with this crew saw tens of thousands flocking like the salmon of Capistrano to our concerts.  For example, Lake Forest garnered a crowd of 7,000 for our 4th of July concert and fireworks.  Likewise, the show in Rancho Santa Margarita numbered about 3,500 yacht rock enthusiasts.  All told, we played the cities/communities of Bellflower, Lake Forest, Brea, Irvine, Calabasas, Talega, Emerald Bay, RSM, El Segundo, Coronado, Alamitos Bay, and Lake Arrowhead.  What a thrill!  Southern California truly got Yachty with our Yacht Club this summer.  And, deservedly so!  It was amazing to show off our Cruise Director, Courtney Cruise, for so many fans that hadn’t seen her live since Covid 19.  Man, she crushed it.

So, moving forward, let’s take a look at the upcoming schedule of shows!

9/5 — Bethel Island, CA at 5pm

9/11 — Sea Legs, Huntington Beach at 4pm (new timing for the PCH closure)

9/18 — private party

9/25 — private party

10/2 — TBA

10/9 — Moonshine Festival, Bakersfield, CA

10/16 — private school in Dana Point

10/23 — Cal Coast Beer Co., Paso Robles, CA

10/30 — Paddy’s Station, San Juan Capistrano, CA

11/20 — Gaslamp, Long Beach, CA

Sea Legs September 11

The Yacht Club will rock on 9/11 with Yachty by Nature playing at Sea Legs in Huntington Beach!  Let’s remember this historic occasion on the 20th anniversary of the bombing on September 11 with a yacht rock concert on the sand.  One of our favorite venues and a special day for us to spend with our SoCal peeps.  Don’t miss the boat on this one.  No admission and FREE of charge.

IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE:  Because of the PCH closure on Saturday, the DJ starts at 3pm and the band comes on at 4pm!!!  And, the gate at Warner and PCH will be open.

Be sure to wear your best yacht rock outfits, yacht club garb, captain’s hats and Yachty merch.  It will be another fabulous day of smooth music in the sand at Huntington Beach.  Southern California’s hottest soft rock band hits the beach.  In fact, the vibe goes off the chart when we see our fans truly dress as such a yachty crew.

Cal Coast Beer Company

Also of note, check us out in the Central Coast on October 23.  Importantly, Yachty by Nature travels to downtown Paso Robles for this special concert.  Get your tickets now on this link.  This is going to be a PHENOMENAL time so the band is really excited.  In fact, we’ve played weddings in the area, but never played a public show.  Furthermore, it’s been a smooth ride bringing LIVE yacht rock to all these underserved areas.  We are pumped!  Likewise, check our blog post recommendations if you’d like to make a fashion statement for your next show with us.

Yacht Club forward

Stay tuned for more announcements and more yachty shows.  In fact, this year we’ll even punctuate the vibe with a visit to the San Diego Yacht Club.  What a perfect spot for the Ron Burgundy jazz flute and the SMOOTHEST yacht rock band from Sea to shining Sea.  Thanks always for your support and hope to see you out there soon.  Lots of great music going on and lately adding some deep cuts from the archives to our setlists.  Of course, we have a blast returning to the songs that don’t always make it to the show.  As always, feel free to hit us up with requests and push us to add tunes that you really love.  We are all ears!

Rock the Yacht Summer 2021

Rock the Yacht

Ahoy!  Yachty by Nature has been catching fire again coming into summer 2021.  Importantly, the band turned 5 years old this June!  Yep.  It’s been 5 years since our first show in June 2016 and the FIRST band to play yacht rock on a regular basis in Southern California.  Indeed, we were that band that kicked down doors to a new genre that was rarely played.  Sea Legs, House of Blues, Brooklyn Bowl Vegas, and the home crowd at Stillwater Dana Point.  We are so proud of this band, the fans that are onboard, and the smooth seas ahead.  It’s been a killer ride!

So, let’s cheers to this 5 year smooth pleasure cruise and the places we’ll go this year forward.

Plenty of opportunities to rock the yacht as things have significantly opened up.  In fact, this band has had sold out concerts at OC Tavern, High Park Tap House, Campus Jax, and a packed house beach show at Sea Legs!  As always, thank you for your support.  And, thanks for enjoying live music again with us.  Since February, Yachty by Nature has been fortunate enough to have some live in-person shows with Covid protocols in place.  However, we are so encouraged to get back on the boat again.

Dropping Anchor

Firstly, make sure you are tracking us on Bandsintown so that you are the first to know about our concerts!  Click this link to Bandsintown to join us there and mark your calendar!

Recently, Yachty by Nature played OC Tavern in San Clemente and blew the doors off with a 400 person crowd.  It was so fun to be outside again with a large crowd of yachty rockers!  Ultimately, Sea Legs at the Beach in Huntington Beach on May 1 the next week ramped up for a crowd of about 1500!  Honestly, this was an incredible blowout crowd for our first experience as California began to open up.  What an experience.  Importantly, this crowd showed up to rock the yacht, hungry for the boat concert we’ve been sorely lacking since the pandemic began.  Wow!  It was so amazing to play again for such a blast of an audience.  In fact, check Facebook for a great video of Courtney Cruise cranking it up on Got to be Real!

Sold Out

Subsequently, the band played private shows and a quick trip to Las Vegas in May.  As you can imagine, June 2021 kicked off one helluva yachty summer.  Moreover, we played Lake Arrowhead Concert Series on June 12 to another SOLD OUT crowd.  The show culminated in a 3 song encore with a famously fun audience in the mountains.  WE LOVE YOU LAKE ARROWHEAD!  Lastly, it was incredible to celebrate with our superfans from LA, those who boated over to the show and a wild appearance by Skip n OC in a speedo to sound check.  RARE!  Next up was a private wedding in San Clemente:  congratulations Ryan and Allie, that was a raging version of Regulate by Warren G.  The band finished with our first concert in the park at Bellflower and a return to the friendly confines of Campus Jax for a sold out show again!

4th of July Yacht Rock weekend

As we crack open this beautiful summer in Southern California, a big 4th of July was on the horizon.  Finally, our postponed show at Canyon Agoura Hills was scheduled for July 3!  What a venue.  The band played to a packed house and enjoyed the amazing sound and killer vibe of this Los Angeles concert hall.  Thanks to our LA peeps for coming out to enjoy Southern California’s ORIGINAL yacht rock band.  Can’t wait to return to this place, it was the perfect stage to catch a YBN show.  And, stay tuned for some killer pictures and video.

Come Sail Away

Next up, the Fourth of July went off.  In fact, the City of Lake Forest played host to 7,000 spectators for the largest yacht rock concert we’ve played!  Lots of superfans there waving their patriotic fervor and dancing to the Guido Shuffle, All Night Long, Africa, Regulate, and some Brandy.  This crowd was ready to get smooth and rock the yacht for sure.  Happy Birthday America.  Yachty by Nature had a blast with our hometown crowd and such a cool experience to have all ages diggin’ the yacht rock scene.

This 4th of July, Scotty McYachty was in rare form and held that note on the Guido Shuffle like a champ.  Let’s face it, he’s the songbird of his generation.  Courtney Cruise wowed the crowd in the red jumpsuit and crushed the vocals on Got to Be Real again to everyone’s delight.  As always, Pacific Rim put on another saxophone clinic as he proved once again to be the Saxiest Man Alive!  Ben Shreddin’ capped off the evening with the hottest energy on Come Sail Away there’s ever been.  In fact, the crowd went nuts as they sang Come Sail Away with us right into a legendary fireworks session.  Big Wave Dave had the beefiest kick drum of his career and locked us down for one bouncing bunch of boaters.

And lastly, Captain Crowd punctuated the patriotic party by running through the throng of revelers on the lawn while rapping to Regulate!  Hope you guys had fun and we can’t wait to have more concerts like this.  Cheers.

Yachts Landing

yachts landing yacht rock yachty by nature boat ship yacht fun megayacht sailingCan you say Yachts Landing?  With a year of Covid under our belts, your ship is finally coming in.  In fact, your favorite yacht rock band, Yachty by Nature just did 2 shows in a week!  Can you believe it.  It’s been a year of dry dock and all of a sudden we see a light at the end of the tunnel.  St. Paddy’s day at Black Marlin in Tustin last week was some kind of homecoming.  Importantly, concerts are beginning and we couldn’t be happier.  Yacht concerts are outside and socially distanced, but it’s on period!

I’m on a Boat

In all, thanks for your patience, support, understanding and love.  Yachty by Nature has been adding songs and working hard to be back soon.  In addition, we played a private show in Ladera Ranch last Friday and enjoyed the love fest.  In fact, the cul-de-sac party featured some pretty awesome kids dancing their hearts out with full synchronized moves!  Who knew that yacht rock could bring out the fun in our epic dance crew.  It felt amazing to feel alive again and bring smooth music and good vibes to our crowd.

Ultimately, music was in the air of south Orange County again.  In fact, even the Ladera buzz on Facebook spread the good word of life coming out of Covid 19.  Music on the streets of Ladera Ranch, how festive.  Cheers to the silver linings!  They must’ve heard Footloose and seen some of the Solid Gold dance crew moves.  Our new tunes were on full display.  And, lemme tell ya, Scotty McYachty and Courtney Cruise’s vocals didn’t disappoint.

High Park Taphouse show!

yacht rock band st paddys day yachty by nature brandy im on a boat storage wars

In fact, we made it two weeks in a row when the Mission Viejo Connection on Facebook wondered where the great music was coming from.  Well, it was High Park Tap House’s outdoor parking lot concert on March 27.  We had a sold out show and even some die hard fans that camped out on the lawn next to the venue to enjoy our Yachts Landing.  Indeed, the anchor has dropped and at Spring Break 2021, the future is looking better and better.

Yachts Landing postponements

All in all, it was a rough year of Covid 19.  In fact, the band was slated for shows all over the country last year.  In addition, we scheduled a Lake Arrowhead 4th of July.  Moreso, all the Canyon Clubs and the Rose shows in LA had to be rescheduled.  Worse yet, our Catalina Island show was canceled.  Unfortunately, it appears that we won’t get a date to play in 2021.  But, rest assured, the hottest yacht rock band in the business is posting up new dates and rescheduled shows currently.  New tunes are coming on left and right and hitting the mark.  Southern California’s ORIGINAL yacht rock band is coming back.  Let’s take a look here for the upcoming calendar!

Yachts Landing soon

As you can see, the future is looking better and better for LIVE yacht rock shows.  Make sure and stay tuned, stay yachty, and come sail away with us when you can.  It’s spring break now.  Moreover, check out our shows outside and distanced.  Summertime will surely see some inside venues open up hopefully.  The band is working hard, adding tunes, and honing our one-of-a-kind yacht rock experience.  Importantly, we’ll drop anchor in the next couple months on the sand in Huntington Beach, near the water in Lake Havasu, and hopefully a mountain lake here and there.

Specially, our crowd has finally experienced the addition of Courtney Cruise on vocals.  Similar to last year, the yachty crew of peeps in the audience watched as Courtney transformed the venue.  With epic renditions of Ain’t Nobody, You’re so Vain, and Magic, the crew was swooning.  Well, it’s been a magical add to the S.S. Yachty by Nature and we appreciate the wonderful welcome she has received.  In fact, the band has had a blast playing some Olivia Newton John, Pointer Sisters, and Chaka Khan.  Also a thank you to KTLA for airing a couple videos of us during the pandemic as well!  Check out our growing list of amazing songs.  Yachts are Landing, come sail away with us.
